Leaders of Tenant Association of Ghana has met Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Thursday 3 September, 2020 on discussions of Housing Policy in the country.
The leaders of the Tenant Association of Ghana expressed appreciations on the government’s effort on revising renting laws.
His Excellency Dr. Bawumia brought to light in the meeting, that the NPP government will provide a seed money of GHC 100 million into the sector to help low-interest loans to Ghanaians to enable eligible individuals pay rent advance.
He said ”The NRAS will be seeded with GH¢100 million, to provide low-interest loans to eligible Ghanaians to enable them pay rent advance. Our housing policy would also place an emphasis on social housing for the poor”
“The issues of housing and cost of rent, as well as, regulations governing them are of utmost significance to our daily lives. Today, the leadership of the Tenants Association of Ghana paid me a courtesy visit at the Jubilee House to express their appreciation” Bawumia also added.
