GREPA Office (Membership) | Published on 5/15/2026

The Ghana Real Estate Professionals Association (GREPA) has launched a nationwide outreach and advocacy initiative aimed at strengthening professional standards, promoting licensing compliance, and enhancing collaboration across Ghana’s real estate sector. The initiative forms part of GREPA’s long-standing commitment to formalizing the real estate industry and building a transparent, ethical, and globally competitive property market. Since its establishment in 2011, GREPA has continuously advocated for professionalism, policy reforms, and institutional development within the sector. The nationwide advocacy campaign is focused on engaging practitioners, developers, brokers, and stakeholders across the country on the importance of complying with the Real Estate Agency Act (Act 1047) and the regulatory role of the Real Estate Agency Council (REAC). GREPA is encouraging all practitioners, especially those operating without licenses, to regularize their operations and align with industry standards as enforcement efforts are expected to increase. Speaking during stakeholder engagements in the Sekondi–Takoradi Metropolis, GREPA Founder and CEO, Victoria Osei Sampah, stressed the importance of professionalism and structure within the rapidly growing real estate industry. According to her, Ghana’s real estate market continues to attract significant local and international investment, making it necessary for industry players to adopt ethical practices, improve transparency, and comply with regulatory requirements. She emphasized that GREPA remains committed to supporting practitioners by providing education, training, and professional development opportunities that will help position Ghana’s real estate sector on a global standard. She also highlighted the importance of continuous professional development (CPD), ethical conduct, and the adoption of technology to improve efficiency, increase market visibility, and build public confidence in the industry. As part of the outreach, practitioners were encouraged to become members of GREPA and take advantage of the training and certification opportunities offered through the ACME Institute of Real Estate, GREPA’s accredited training arm. ACME provides pre-licensing education, broker development programs, CPD courses aligned with REAC requirements, and internationally recognized certifications and designations in partnership with global industry bodies. The outreach further showcased the role of technology in transforming the real estate sector through the Loop Ghana MLS platform. The digital listing platform is designed to improve property visibility, enhance data transparency, and connect verified Ghanaian property listings to both local and international markets, including diaspora investors. The GREPA delegation included President-Elect Emmanuel Tawiah, Presidential Adviser Rev. Dr. Nanayaa Prempeh, and Board Member Atiku Iddrisu. During their visit to the Western Region, the team held several high-level engagements aimed at strengthening collaboration within the industry and increasing awareness about licensing compliance. Activities undertaken during the outreach included media engagements and live radio discussions on Skyy Power FM and Connect FM to educate practitioners and the general public on the importance of licensing and professional regulation. The delegation also held strategic meetings with key industry stakeholders and professionals within the region to discuss challenges, opportunities, and the future of Ghana’s real estate industry. In addition, GREPA engaged with the Faculty of Built and Natural Environment at Takoradi Technical University to explore collaboration opportunities in real estate education, training, and research. The team also visited brokerage firms, including SmartHomes Agency and Tutubah Realty Consult, to interact directly with practitioners and management teams on issues affecting the sector. Through this nationwide advocacy initiative, GREPA aims to: * Promote compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements * Improve professionalism and ethical standards in the industry * Expand access to structured education and certification programs * Encourage technology adoption and data-driven market systems * Strengthen collaboration between industry players, academia, and regulators GREPA continues to position itself as a leading voice in Ghana’s real estate industry by supporting policies and initiatives that promote transparency, accountability, and sustainable growth within the sector. The Association remains committed to working closely with the Real Estate Agency Council and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the Real Estate Agency Act (Act 1047) while building a more structured and globally competitive real estate market in Ghana.
